Do you want toexperience a fantastic adventure in the heart of Sardinia? If you are passionate about hiking in the mountains, you will find plenty to do.
The trekking we propose follows the steep limestone cliffs of Mount Tiscali, set in the wonderful natural context of the Lanaitho Valley among treasures of inestimable natural and archaeological value.
The trek will also take you to the nuragic village of Tiscali, a unique opportunity to venture out and discover the mystery guarded in this place for more than 3,000 years. Join us!
What we will do
We will meet the guide at 8.30 a.m. in Orosei (NU). After forming the group and holding a quick briefing, we will get straight into the heart of the excursion.
We will walk through the woods of the Lanaitho valley, following the steep cliffs of Monte Tiscali and the paths traced by coal miners in the 19th century. Passing through the karstic sinkhole, we will finally arrive at the mysterious Village of Tiscali.
To get to the village, we will pass through the narrow rock fissure called 'Sa Curtigia'. From this new perspective, we can admire the treasures of the Lanaitto Valley and the entire Corrasi chain.
Along the way, we will be able to admire rare plant species such as terebinths, trilobite maples and ash trees. Among the fauna, we will be able to spot if we are lucky the Mediterranean pine marten and the mouflon.
The 6 km route is suitable for everyone and involves an altitude difference of 350 m. We will return to the starting point at around 4 p.m. The hike will take a total of 8 hours, of which the actual walking time is approximately 3 ½ hours.

The activity can be booked all year round on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
On request, pick-up is also possible from Dorgali.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
