Experience trekking in close contact with the surrounding environment, discover theUmbrian Apennines and immerse yourself in its lush nature and the charm of its ancient villages with a route suitable for everyone.
You will walk along the course of the Nestore river, a tributary of the Tiber flowing in the province of Perugia, in search of the spectacled salamander, a small amphibian endemic to the Apennine area that finds its natural habitat near the uncontaminated sources of this river.
It will be an excursion that will reconcile you with the world. By going into the woods and enjoying the regenerating power of nature, you will be able to relieve yourself of everyday stress and recharge your batteries!
What we will do
We will meet in Città della Pieve, a characteristic medieval village in the province of Perugia. Having formed the group, we will set out among centuries-old oaks and mountain paths, to the Nestorello stream. Following its course, which intersects with that of the Nestore river, we will arrive at its source, where the unspoilt beauty of nature reigns supreme. With the right attention and a little luck, under the pebbles of the river bed we will be able to observe the spectacled salamander, a small protected amphibian typical of these areas.
Continuing on our way we will reach the historic centre of Monteleone d'Orvieto, where we will visit the Church of SS. Apostles Peter and Paul, known for its altarpiece by the school of Perugino. Before returning to Città della Pieve, we may decide to visit the Pomario farm for a tasting of local products and dishes accompanied by their excellent wines and oils. Recommended choice!
The activity lasts about five and a half hours. The route does not present any particular technical difficulties; it is just under 10 km long with a difference in altitude of about 200 m.

Attention. You must arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the activity.
The visit to the Pomario farm must be arranged with the guide after booking. It is to be paid on site and involves the following fees:
- tasting 5 wines 10€ per person
- tasting 5 wines + cutting board 20€ per person
- tasting 6 wines + full lunch 35€ per person
The activity takes place throughout the year and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
