If trekking is your passion, don't miss out on this wonderful experience in the Val d'Orcia. The undulating countryside of the province of Siena will be waiting for you.
A 14 km ring-route will take you to visit the places that most characterise this area, in the company of a hiking guide. These include the Parco dei Mulini, a protected natural area in Bagno Vignoni, the ancient castle that dominates the village, and San Quirico d'Orcia, famous for its medieval alleyways.

What we will do
After meeting at 10 a.m. in Bagno Vignoni, we will begin our trek in the company of our guide with a visit to the Parco dei Mulini.
This protected natural area was established in 1997, after the mill system was abandoned in the 1950s. We will explore the park on foot, past small lakes and thermal springs.
We will be enchanted in front of the large thermal pool of Bagno Vignoni, which fills the air with its vapours, giving the village a truly suggestive atmosphere. We will then continue towards Vignoni Alto, a medieval village perched on a hill, until we reach the fascinating fortress that dominates the panorama.
We will follow the Via Francigena through a beautiful landscape of green hills and rows of cypress trees until we reach San Quirico d'Orcia, where we will visit the village with its historic palazzi and medieval streets.
We will then turn back along a circular route, covering a total of 14 km with an altitude difference of 100 m. During the trek we will make several stops to admire the panorama and a one-hour stop for a packed lunch, with the possibility of buying products in the shops of Bagno Vignoni or San Quirico d'Orcia.
The activity will last a total of 7 hours.

The hike is of an easy level and suitable for everyone from 16 years of age.

The activity is available all year round, except December, and is confirmed when a minimum number of 10 participants is reached.
It is possible to bring your own dog.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
