If you were asked today 'what would you like to be when you grow up', you would answer truffle hunter. Or maybe you would just want to eat truffles for the rest of your life.
Either way, our truffle hunt around Bologna is the experience for you! In the company of an environmental excursion guide, a truffle hunter and his trusty truffle dog, go into the woods of theBolognese Apennines in search of this special mushroom (and learn as many secrets of the trade as possible).
At the end of this approximately 3-hour experience, we hope you will have collected a rich (and tasty) treasure!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 09:00 a.m. at the meeting point near Sasso Marconi (BO). The location will be carefully selected by the truffle hunter, a person authorised to collect and sell truffles, according to the best conditions of the day.
Once we reach the "hunting spot", we will embark on a walk through wooded terrain. In the meantime, the truffle hunter will explain to us how the activity will take place and give us a real"truffle lesson": when, where and how the truffle is born, as well as how the dog is trained in the search. And indeed, accompanying us on this adventure will be our truffle hunter's ever-present truffle dog!
We will see the truffle dog in action and follow him on his travels in search of this prized fungus. The truffle hunter will reveal the secrets of the trade: it would seem that if the dog uses its right paw it has found black truffles, if it uses its left paw it has found white truffles.
At the end of the activity we will return to the meeting point after about three hours together. Wishing you a rich haul, if you want to go home with a souvenir of this experience you can negotiate with the truffle hunter to buy the truffles you have collected!

The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Other information
The excursion is available from January to December, subject to weather conditions and the presence of truffles, and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 adults.
We search for white truffles in winter and black truffles from late February/March. The duration of the experience may vary depending on the presence or absence of truffles.
The meeting point can only be reached by car. Contact us to request an additional transfer service to/from the Sasso Marconi station.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in the experience.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
