Truffle hunting in Alto Monferrato with aperitif

If you love truffles, their flavour and intense aroma, you absolutely cannot miss the truffle tour with aperitif in Alto Monferrato.

This is an authentic 'truffle hunt' in the company of an expert truffle hunter and a truffle dog in secret areas of the Piedmont forests. During the excursion you will learn the most important information about this mushroom, such as the terrain where it grows most favourably and the correct way in which to collect it.

You will immerse yourself in nature, accompanied by the sounds of the forest, and at the end you will sit down for an aperitif with truffle dishes and other typical products. We are waiting for you!

What we will do

The appointment is at the time selected during the booking process near Alessandria. Upon arrival, we will meet the expert truffle hunter and truffle dog and drive to the truffle hunting area (which may vary depending on the season).

Before setting off, we will have a briefing of about half an hour, during which we will be given the main information about this prized fungus, such as the terrain where it proliferates and the training of dogs useful for finding it.

Once this phase is over, we can start the actual search, which will take place inside a secret natural truffle ground, also known as a "pasture".

After 2 hours of searching, we will move with the truffle hunter to an affiliated establishment to enjoy a delicious aperitif with truffle dishes, cheese and other typical Piedmontese products (included). We will also be offered a glass of prosecco and a glass of Gavi white wine... the perfect combination with the truffle!

The activity lasts a total of 4 hours, at the end of which we will return to the starting point.

Who it is aimed at

The tour is suitable for everyone and there is no age limit.

Children and young people up to the age of 14 can participate free of charge.

Other information

The activity is available from September to December, the white truffle period, and from June to August, the black truffle period.

The search will take place in a secret natural truffle ground, also known as a "pasture". To preserve the delicate truffle environment, the meeting point will be announced a few days before the activity.

Theaperitif includes a small tasting of truffle dishes, a glass of prosecco and a glass of Gavi white wine.

This is not an educational tour in which truffles are hidden beforehand, but an actual truffle search, an experience rooted in local tradition that we will have the honour of sharing with the truffle hunter. For this reason, there is the possibility of finding not white or black truffles, but some less prized types of truffles.

Important: it will not be possible to keep the truffles found for oneself.
