Is there anything more exciting than a treasure hunt? For us the answer is yes: a white truffle hunt in the Monferrato!
Get ready to assist a real truffle hunter in the search for the most precious mushroom in the world, together with two exceptional companions: the faithful Zara and Yuma bloodhounds.
Enter the family truffle farm in Lerma, in the province of Alessandria, and discover the secrets linked to this ancient art during a2-hour experience. What are you waiting for? The treasure is waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is in Lerma (AL), 10 minutes before the indicated time.
Here we will meet Alessia and her husband Andrea, the truffle hunter himself! Together with their two pointer pointers Zama and Yuma, they will guide us through this white truffle hunting experience. We will be welcomed into the old farmhouse, which has been owned by the family for several generations, and here we will be provided with the necessary equipment to carry out the activity, such as boots, sticks and educational material.
Then, guided by the infallible nose of the two truffle dogs, we will walk to the truffle ground in about 10 minutes. Here the actual search will begin, during which the truffle hunter will explain how the truffle is born and the characteristics of the environment and vegetation that favour its growth.
The moment of searching and gathering will be truly magical and will make us feel like real treasure hunters, ready to uncover the riches buried under the ground! If we are lucky, we will be able to find white truffles typical of these areas of Monferrato, which we will be able to buy at the end of the activity.
For those who wish, it will be possible to add to this experience an aperitif in the woods (choose the "truffle hunt + aperitif" option when booking) with a glass of wine and local products such as cold meats and cheeses; in the event of bad weather, the aperitif will be held on the return trip to the farmstead.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
Younger children may be carried by their parents in cribs or backpacks.
The truffle trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

The activity runs from 15 September to 8 December, every day, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
In the event of food allergies and intolerances, please inform the guide in advance at the contact details indicated in your booking confirmation email.
For those who wish, it will be possible to purchase the truffle found during the search on site.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are kept on a leash: inform the guide of their presence before the activity.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there is free parking.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
