Maya, Ombra and Pepe will be your... nose!
Take part in our truffle hunt in the Monti Simbruini Park: you will go in search of this 'gastronomic treasure' in the company of a geologist guide, a truffle hunter and a team of truffle dogs with an infallible nose.
A 3-hour experience, ending with an aperitif based on local products!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Rocca di Botte (AQ). Awaiting us will be our 'search team' consisting of a geologist guide, truffle hunter and truffle dogs.
Having gathered all participants, a short presentation will take place during which we will be provided with useful information for a carefree experience. We will then venture into the Monti Simbruini Park, increasing our knowledge of the world of truffles step by step: from the regulations in force to dog training, the geologist guide and truffle hunter will be on hand to answer all our questions and curiosities.
Leading the group will be Maya, Ombra and Pepe, of the Lagotto Romagnolo and cocker breed. We will admire their flair at work, searching for the black summer truffle that grows in this corner of Abruzzo. Once found, we will be able to participate directly in the extraction of the 'treasure'!
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, where an aperitif of local products will await us: cold meats, cheeses and bruschetta topped with the truffle we have just found, accompanied by an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
The experience is not accessible to persons with mobility problems.

The experience takes place in June and July.
Dogs are not allowed.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
