Experience an exclusive truffle hunt in a private truffle reserve in the heart of Tuscany!
Take part in our private truffle hunt: in the company of a truffle hunter and his inseparable dog, you will venture into a nature reserve near Asciano in search of the renowned white truffle.
A1.5-hour experience that will end with a truffle tasting!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Torre a Castello, near Asciano (SI). You will be welcomed by the truffle hunter and his dog, a Lagotto Romagnolo named Vasco, who will accompany you on this adventure reserved for you and your group!
The experience will begin with anintroduction to the world of truffles: you will learn about the tools of the trade that you will soon be using and the characteristics of the white truffle you will be searching for.
You will then venture into the nature reserve owned by the farm, within which there is a 1.5-hectare truffle ground just for you. You will enter the forest, following and admiring the nose of the Lagotto Romagnolo at work; when he has sniffed out the 'treasure', you will be able to actively contribute to the extraction of the truffle according to the truffle hunter's instructions. The truffle hunt will last approximately 1 hour.
With your booty, you will finally return to the meeting point, where a truffle tasting will be waiting for you: you will take a seat on the farm and taste the freshly harvested truffle combined with focaccia, eggs and other dishes of the day.
The experience will last 1 ½ hours in total.

The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 can participate unaccompanied.

Attention! The meeting point is located in Torre a Castello, a hamlet in the municipality of Asciano, which is about 18 km away.
The experience takes place from October to December.

Dogs are not allowed.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
