Chianti = wine. But what if we told you that something even more precious lies hidden beneath the vineyards?
We’re talking about truffles, which you’ll set out to find in the company of a professional truffle hunter during this truffle-hunting experience in Montespertoli.
You’ll round off the day with a tasting lunch or dinner featuring traditional Tuscan dishes, all strictly truffle-based !
What we will do
The event takes place at the selected time at Tenuta Moriano in Montespertoli (FI), set against the backdrop of the Chianti countryside. We’ll be welcomed by the truffle hunter and his faithful truffle-hunting dog, ready to guide us on this hunt.
We’ll stroll through the woods adjacent to the winery for about an hour, learning the secrets of this ancient craft: the different types of truffles, the harvesting seasons, and the special bond between the truffle hunter and his dog.
Once the hunt is over, we’ll return to the estate for a four-course lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine from Tenuta Moriano. The menu includes :
- Starter of Tuscan cured meats and cheeses, bruschetta and crostini with truffles
- First course: aglierini with truffles
- Main course of fried eggs with truffles
- Dessert of cantuccini with Vin Santo.
The total duration of the experience is approximately 3 hours , depending on how long we spend over lunch, including 1 hour of truffle hunting.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Children aged 0 to 6 can take part free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
This experience is not accessible to people with mobility issues.

The experience takes place from April to October and is entirely dependent on the weather.

Dogs are permitted on request during the activity.
