Run, Fury and Dodo have found the truffle!
This is the exclamation you will hear as you take part in our truffle hunt in the hills near Assisi: you will follow a troubadour and his trusty dog in their search for this prized ingredient, which you will be able to enjoy during a 4-course lunch at Cantina Tili.
And to toast this 3-hour experience, there will be a tasting of 5 glasses of organic house wines !
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point at Tili Vini in Capodacqua (PG). We will be welcomed by the guide and the truffle hunter in the company of his inseparable dog!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will head for the truffle ground, where truffles grow spontaneously or are cultivated. It is in this natural setting on the hills flanking Assisi that the truffle hunt will take place: we will follow the dog through a forest of oak and fir trees, while the guide will not fail to pass on all his passion and knowledge about the world of truffles.
With the fragrant booty uncovered thanks to the nose of our English cocker spaniel, we will return to the wine cellar where a 4-course lunch (included) will await us, the protagonist of which will be the truffle we will have conquered during the hunt! We will discover how to wash and treat it before serving it at the table and enjoying it as part of a starter, first course, main course, side dish and dessert. Each dish will be accompanied by an organic wine from the house: we will taste 5 glasses of the best labels from this Umbrian family business!
The truffle hunt will last 1 hour. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for ages 18 and over. A reduced rate is reserved for children aged 5 to 13 years ; children aged 0 to 4 years participate in the experience free of charge; any minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over. Any accompanying under-age paying participants will be served a non-alcoholic drink; please contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate your presence and request a dedicated lunch.
The winery is accessible by wheelchair or pushchair; the truffle hunting route is not accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; please contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request a taxi service for a fee.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
