Full description
Truffle hunting or Amarone tasting? Why choose, when you can do both!
During this experience you will venture together with an expert truffle hunter around the Santa Maria Valverde Estate in Marano di Valpolicella, in search of this prized fruit of the earth.
But that's not all: at the end of the activity, you can accompany your truffle tasting with a tasting of 3 Valpolicella wines, for a complete, but above all, unforgettablefood and wine experience!
What we will do
The appointment is at 10.30 am at the Santa Maria Valverde Estate in Marano di Valpolicella (VR). We will be welcomed by our guide and truffle hunter, together with Rosy, the Lagotto Romagnolo who will lead this truffle hunt!
First, we will be introduced to the truffle hunting technique: we will learn which rules to follow and how to recognise the most fertile places where this precious fungus grows and hides. After that, we will get into the action!
Theexperience will take place in the woods adjacent to the meeting point, within the Valpolicella Park. We will walk through dense brambles, past streams and breathe in the scent of the undergrowth. With a bit of luck and thanks to Rosy's infallible nose, we will return to the estate with a basket full of truffles!
After an hour and a half of searching, it will be time to refresh ourselves with a rich buffet of local cured meats and cheeses, mostarda, EVO oil produced by the estate, and bread. Following this, we will taste the freshly harvested truffle, which will be served with a first course of fresh pasta, to savour it at its best.
The entire meal will be accompanied by a tasting of 3 glasses of Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone wine.
We will thus conclude our experience, which will last about 3 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is of medium intensity and suitable for 12 years and over; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the activity.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over. Minors and abstemious persons will be served a non-alcoholic drink with accompanying food.
The experience is not accessible in a wheelchair or to persons with mobility problems.

The experience takes place all year round.

Dogs are not allowed during the experience.
