Experience the thrill of breathing underwater like a real diver with the Try Scuba SSI underwater diving test in Ponza.
Dive for about 40 minutes in the waters of thePonza archipelago and discover the wonderful underwater world that hides beneath the surface of the sea. You will have a dedicated instructor at your disposal who will provide you with all the necessary instructions to dive safely.

What we will do
We will meet at the Ponza diving school, where we will meet the instructor who will accompany us on our first diving experience. After testing theequipment (cylinder, gav, regulators, ballast, wetsuit, fins, and masks), we will board the rubber dinghy that will take us to the chosen dive spot.
Theisland of Ponza offers many diving spots, including beautiful Faraglioni , a 5-minute boat ride from the harbour, or the Kastell Luanda Wreck, where there is a cargo ship that sank in the mid-1970s.
Before we dive into the crystal-clear waters of Ponza, the instructor will give us a briefing on how to communicate in the water and how to enjoy the experience safely.
We will dive with the instructor for about 40 minutes. We will experience a first dive which will allow us to become familiar with breathing and the regulator. We will discover the truly unique sensation of breathing underwater, which is difficult to describe for anyone who has not experienced it at least once.
We will then climb back into the rubber dinghy to return to the centre. Between pre-dive briefings, transfers and diving, the activity lasts a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone, from 10 years old and up. No patent or specific skills are required, just good health.
Written consent of at least one parent is required for those under 18 years of age.
Other information
The activity can be booked from April to October.
Important: the appointment at the centre is 30 minutes before the dive time because you will have to try out theequipment. The centre also gives the opportunity to try out the equipment the day before the dive. In the latter case, all you need to do is make arrangements with the instructors once you have received the booking confirmation.
If you would like to participate in the activity as an Accompanying Person, please select the corresponding option when booking. N.B: During high season, there may not be enough berths for accompanying persons only.
The dive spot will be chosen by the instructor depending on weather and sea conditions.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
