Navigating the waters of the river aboard an inflatable donut: this is River Tubing, the most original and fun activity you can choose to experience anadventure in nature.
On board this colourful and extravagant craft we will descend along the Lao river, gliding on the surface of thecrystal-clear water, surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Pollino National Park.
Anexperience suitable for everyone to discover nature without giving up the fun and always remaining safe thanks to the help of experienced and certified guides.
What we will do
We will meet at the rafting centre in Laino Borgo, in the province of Cosenza. On arrival, we will be given thenecessary equipment (helmet, wetsuit and lifejacket) and then reach the embarkation point on the Lao river by shuttle bus.
At that point, the guides will teach us how to manoeuvre the inflatable donuts and give a briefing on the route and safety rules. After that, ready on the donuts with paddle in hand, we're off!
We will let ourselves be carried along by the current along a 3 km course full of nature and picturesque views. The feeling will be that of floating on the crystal-clear surface of the water, with the possibility of observing our surroundings in search of the wild animals that live around the river.
We will cross small rapids that will make us feel a rush of adrenalin and a few splashes of fresh water on us. At the end of the route, the shuttle will take us back to the base, where we can change and enjoy the equipped area of the rafting centre. The activity will last about 1.5 hours, including 50 minutes of river tubing.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 6 years old and up. No experience is required to participate, just being in good health.
Other information
This activity is available from April to October, depending on the weather and the river's hydrometric levels, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.
The rafting centre has anarea equipped with a swimming pool, camping site, camper van, barbecue and dog area. After booking, you can contact the centre directly for more information on extra services.
Minors must be accompanied or present anauthorisation signed by their parents.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
