Full description
Take a spectacular river like the Lao, add the natural beauty of the Pollino, and swap the usual boat for an inflatable ring: that’s what River Tubing is all about!
Paddle in hand, you’ll glide for 3 km along the river’s crystal-clear waters, taking in spectacular views and a few thrilling little rapids for an hour and a half of pure fun. Naturally, you’ll be accompanied by expert guides, so all you’ll have to worry about is not capsizing (or doing so in style! ).
What we will do
We’ll meet at the rafting centre in Laino Borgo, in the province of Cosenza. On arrival, we’ll be given the necessary equipment (helmet, wetsuit and life jacket) and then we’ll take a shuttle bus to the boarding point on the River Lao.
At that point, the guides will show us how to manoeuvre the inflatable rings and give a briefing on the route and safety rules. After that, once we’re settled on our rings with paddles in hand, we’ll set off!
We’ll let the current carry us along a 3-kilometre route rich in nature and picturesque views. It’ll feel as though we’re floating on the crystal-clear water, with the chance to observe our surroundings in search of the wildlife that inhabits the area around the river.
We’ll navigate small rapids that’ll give us an adrenaline rush and splash us with some cool water. At the end of the route, the shuttle will take us back to base, where we can get changed and make use of the facilities at the rafting centre. The activity will last around 1. 5 hours, including 50 minutes of river tubing.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and suitable for everyone aged 6 and over. Minors must be accompanied by an adult or provide a signed parental consent form.
No experience is required to take part; you just need to be in good health.
Other information
This activity is available from April to October, subject to weather conditions and river levels, and is confirmed once a minimum of two people have booked.
The rafting centre has a facilities area with a swimming pool, campsite, campervan parking, barbecue and dog area. Once you’ve booked, you can contact the centre directly for more information on the additional services.
The meeting point is difficult to reach by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
