Full description

You are on holiday in the mountains, alone or with your loved ones - or running with the dog - and you think you know how to handle an emergency situation without losing your temper? Would you know how to behave in order to be of help to yourself and others?

With the Two-Day Survival Course you will experience an immersive weekend with instructors from theAICS-recognised Adventure Team Survival School.

You will experience first-hand what it means to have to react to unforeseen events with only your own strength, to use your surroundings to your advantage by learning how to deal with critical and potentially dangerous situations.

What we will do

The activity takes place in a 50-hectare natural park near Alessandria, in Piedmont. This environment is perfect for simulating different situations in which to test survival techniques.

The course takes place on Saturday and Sunday and the programme includes:

Day 1

10:00 am. Meeting and presentation of the course.

11:00 - 11:30 a.m. Introduction to topics such as topography, scales, symbology, distances, azimuth, orientation.

11:30 - 12:30. Creation of a bivouac to be used as shelter and refuge.

12:30 - 13:30 hours. Meal.

13:30 - 20:00 hours. Various activities such as making traps, tools, notions of hunting, fishing, cooking food, orientation techniques in emergencies, preparation of shelter and bivouac in survival, management of fire, water and food in emergencies.

Day 2

Day 2 will also start in the morning until 2pm, with a series of activities such as setting up an emergency camp.

You will learn how to use bridges and ropes and how to make the main knots and ties, knowledge of which can be essential in emergency situations. It will also be explained how to rescue yourself and your companions in survival, for example by building a stretcher and handling fractures and wounds.

Guided by national survival instructors, you won't have to think about anything: all the necessary technical equipment is provided by us.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is suitable for everyone, no special skills are required, the only requirement is to be in good health.
