Full description

Forget technology and the comforts of everyday life for a weekend and learn how to cope in nature with a 2-day survival course in the Sarca Valley in Trentino.

Based in Arco, you will move around the surrounding area with our experienced instructors who will teach you how to find your way in a forest environment, how to light a fire, how to build a shelter for the night and much more.

Get ready for an experience completely dedicated to bushcraft and survival techniques. Only requirement? Have a great spirit of adventure!

What we will do

The appointment is set for Saturday morning at 8 a.m. at the base camp in Arco (TN). We will get acquainted with the instructors and our fellow adventurers, carry out a short introductory briefing, and immediately start the course.

The activities planned over the two days will be varied and dynamic. We will alternate between theory and practice and will not be afraid to get our hands dirty and be in close contact with nature. We will learn to orient ourselves with a compass and the signs of the environment, build rudimentary tools, light a fire and build a shelter where we can spend the night (those who don't feel up to it can sleep in a tent at base camp).

We will learn how to recognise edible plants, how to purify water and much more. The instructors will give us first aid hints and teach us how to behave in an emergency.

Only the bare essentials will be used and, of course, there will be no bathing! We will have to adapt to nature and use only biodegradable paper or wipes to be placed in a plastic bag... and not dumped in the environment!

We will be able to try trapper or trappeur cooking, a cooking technique that does not involve the use of utensils.

The course will end late Sunday afternoon with the presentation of certificates of participation.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of medium level. A great spirit of adaptation and at least one previous, certified survival experience is required. Participation is possible from 18 years of age.
