Full description
Get ready for a unique experience in the enchanting scenery of Lake Como.
Immersed in the Pian di Spagna Nature Reserve, you will ride on dirt tracks together with an equestrian guide starting from Colico.
Come and spend 2 hours in the saddle to get closer to the wonderful world of horse riding and to discover the area.
What we will do
The meeting will be in Colico (LC), 10 minutes before the time indicated in the booking. After meeting the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this experience, we will be ready to climb into the saddle. We will begin with a ten-minute field ride to learn the basics and become familiar with the horse.
After making friends with our companion, we will begin the ride in the beautiful Pian di Spagna Nature Reserve. We will ride along the Adda river until we reach its mouth, and then continue on to the shore of Lake Como, where a wonderful panorama will open up before our eyes.
We will conclude our first hour in the saddle by passing through meadows and woods to return to the riding stables. Here we will have a few minutes to stretch our legs and prepare for the second hour in the saddle.
We will set off again heading north to encounter a small hamlet along the way and then ride through meadows and woods away from the stress of everyday life. We will proceed at a leisurely pace to enjoy the walk, with the guide always at our side to ensure maximum safety along the easy route.
We will conclude our loop on dirt roads by returning to the riding stables. The activity will last a total of 2 hours, including approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes in the saddle.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 14.
No previous experience on horseback is necessary to participate. The maximum weight allowed is 120 kg.
Other information
The walk is available all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
Attention! If you are taller than 1.80 m and/or weigh more than 80 kg, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate this.
The walk takes place at the pace and an American mount is used.
Any accompanying persons not taking part in the activity can stay at the riding school, where dogs are allowed if docile.
The riding school is not easily accessible by public transport. There is a dirt car park on site.
