My eyes glued to the window and just one question on my mind:“What’s it like to be up there in the cockpit?”
Forget the queues at check-in. This time you’ll be right at the front, with an experienced pilot by your side for an hour and a half’s flight in an ultralight aircraft. From Nettuno, you’ll head straight for the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, flying over the stunning cliffs of Palmarola, the turquoise coves of Ponza, the silhouette of Mount Circeo and Torre Astura.
It’s time to make that long-held dream come true: fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the flight first-hand.
What we will do
The meeting point is at the time selected when booking, at the Nettuno (RM) airfield on the Lazio coast. Here you will meet your instructor, who will welcome you for an initial briefing lasting around 10–15 minutes: you will be introduced to the basics of flying, the main manoeuvres and safety regulations.
You’ll have the chance to get to know the microlight aircraft you’ll be flying in: a Tecnam P92 or a Coavio DF 2000, both two-seaters fitted with dual controls. Then it’s time to take off!
We’ll head straight out to the open sea for the first spectacular sight: Palmarola, with its cliffs, crystal-clear waters and the iconic Cala del Francese. In just a few minutes we’ll be over Ponza: from above, we’ll admire the famous colourful little houses clustered around Porto Borbonico, the enchanting crescent of Chiaia di Luna nestled amongst the tuff cliffs, and the mesmerising turquoise waters of Cala Feola.
The return journey will treat us to an epic view: we’ll head towards the silhouette of Monte Circeo and Torre Astura, nestled by the sea.The instructor will guide you through the different stages of the flight and, if conditions are favourable and at their sole discretion, may give you the chance to try the controls under constant supervision.
Once we’ve touched down, after around 1 hour 20 minutes / 1 hour 40 minutes, we’ll celebrate the experience by presenting you with your First Flight Certificate.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 16. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied on site by both parents or present a release form (signed by both).
To participate, you must not exceed 150 kg in weight.

This activity can be booked all year round.
Important: this is an individual activity; groups of up to 5 people may attend the briefing together and fly one after the other.
Safety first: visual flight requires specific visibility conditions. Should winds cause mist or cloud cover over the open sea, we will follow the alternative route along the coast. We’ll fly skimming the coastline from Nettuno to San Felice Circeo, before making the crossing or returning without losing sight of the mainland.
You’ll be on board the Tecnam P92 or the Coavio DF 2000microlight, two-seater aircraft (apart from the instructor, it’ll just be you on board) fitted with dual controls. These are stable, reliable aircraft, specifically designed to allow even first-time flyers to experience flying.
Accompanying guests are welcome and may wait at the venue whilst the activity takes place.
You are welcome to take photos and videos during the activity.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
