Full description
What a sight and what a treat! Feast your eyes and delight your taste buds on this quad bike tour in the Giumentina Valley.
With a local guide, you’ll have the chance to learn about the history of the Majella National Park, whilst enjoying a ride through beech woods, valleys and archaeological sites.
A 2½-hour experience that includes a stop at a local dairy for a tasting of locally sourced products!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Abbateggio (PE). On arrival, we’ll meet the guide and have a short briefing, during which we’ll be shown how the quad bike works. After that, we’ll go for a test ride to get to grips with the vehicle.
At this point, we’ll be ready for our adventure! Riding our quad bikes, we’ll head along scenic trails through the Giumentina Valley, immersing ourselves in the nature and wildlife of the Majella National Park.
Along the way, we’ll stop to admire the Palaeolithic archaeological excavations and the remains of the dry-stone huts at Tholos, built by shepherds and farmers in the 19th century.
Our final (and delicious) stop will be at a local dairy farm where we’ll meet cows, goats and sheep. The best part, however, will be tasting the dairy products – locally sourced, just the way we like it!
Finally, we’ll head back to the starting point, having covered around 15 km. The experience will last a total of about two and a half hours, of which one and a half hours will be spent riding the quad bike.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence.
The minimum age for passengers is 6 years.
Other information

Important: the price is per quad bike. Each quad bike can carry one driver and one passenger (with the option to take turns at the wheel) . The centre has 4 quad bikes, for a maximum of 8 participants.
The excursion takes place on roads where motorised vehicles are permitted, in accordance with the Park’s rules on environmental protection and conservation. For this reason, too, the quad bikes will be ridden at a low speed. Should the Park’s regulations not be observed, the guide reserves the right to terminate the activity.
On arrival, you will be asked to pay for a membership card (€5. 00 per person) to cover insurance.
