Full description

If you are looking for a fun activity in contact with nature, to do with the whole family, something exciting and thrilling but not too challenging and suitable even for beginners, the via ferrata at Monte Colodri is for you!

This is a path equipped with steel ropes, ladders and other natural and artificial holds, which climbs the rocky walls of the mountains surrounding the town of Arco, on the Trentino banks of Lake Garda.

Together with an Alpine Guide, you will tackle this easy and panoramic via ferrata - also suitable for a first experience - to the summit of Monte Colodri, from where you will enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Garda.

What we will do

We will meet in Arco (TN ) and, having formed the group and met the mountain guide, we will move together to the via ferrata start point at Monte Colodri.

Before starting, the guide will explain how to use the via ferrata kit and teach us basic progression techniques and the correct behaviour to ensure safety on the hike.

The route we will take is ideal for approaching the world of via ferratas and for being tackled even by those who are not particularly trained. We will progress on the rocks using steel ropes, tight ropes, ladders, stirrups, rungs and other holds that act as 'facilitators' of mountaineering emotions.

Once we reach the top of Monte Colodri, we will be amazed by the splendid panorama of the Sarca river valley and Lake Garda: a well-deserved reward for the 'hard work' of the climb!

For the return journey we will follow a different route that will take us down through the centuries-old olive groves of the hamlet of Laghel, passing by the spectacular Arco Castle. Here too we will stop to admire the stupendous view of Lake Garda, before concluding the circular route that will take us back to our starting point.

The via ferrata at Monte Colodri is particularly cool in summer, being in the shade from early afternoon. The equipped trail is just over 1 km long, with a total length of approximately 4 km and a height difference of 300 m.

Depending on the level of the participants, the via ferrata may take more or less time, for a total duration of the activity of approximately 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an easy level and can be tackled by everyone from the age of 6, as long as you are not afraid of heights!
