Full description
Are you ready to challenge the thrill of a via ferrata in Sardinia? Climb the rocky walls bordering theGiorrè plateau in the village of Cargeghe, not far from Sassari, in the company of a hiking guide.
It is a 2.5-kilometre route, equipped with steel cables and steps. The overhanging spectacle will require all your concentration to walk along the ledges, circumvent obstacles and continue climbing until you reach a height of 90 metres.
The wild panorama from up there will take your breath away. What are you waiting for? Start climbing!
What we will do
We will meet in Cargeghe at 8.30 a.m. to prepare for our via ferrata. Here we will have an introductory briefing of about 30 minutes to learn about safety procedures and to properly wear the necessary equipment(helmet, harness and lanyard). The rocky crags will be our spectators.
Then we will be ready to challenge the walls of the Giorrè ferrata. This is one of the longest ferrata sections in Sardinia, with a length of over 2 km, 600 m of which are equipped with steel cables and steps.
We will walk inside two sections of overlapping ledges, along a loop route. The first part of the route will be the one with the most challenging passages, while the second will seem easier and more relaxed. With each step, new views and scenic landscapes will open up, making us feel small in front of such immense nature.
On the final section of the upper ledge we will find an exciting overhanging wall of around 80 m, to end our ascent in beauty! The total duration of the activity will be about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is at an intermediate level and can be physically demanding. It is important not to suffer from vertigo and to have no particular cardiovascular or respiratory diseases.
The minimum age to participate is 18.
Other information
The excursion takes place every day, all year round, and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
Please note: during the months of April and May, a section of the via ferrata is generally closed to allow local fauna to nest.
The excursion is conducted exclusively in Italian.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
