Dominate Lake Garda from above on the spectacular Via Ferrata of the Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri!
This historic route, carved into the rock and developed horizontally, will give you breathtaking views. You will move for about 4 hours in a roped party, using the pitons fixed to the wall and tackling short suspended climbs to reach the next sections of the trail.
Alpine guides will accompany you to ensure maximum safety. .. and fun!
What we will do
We will meet in Arco (TN), where an Alpine Guide will welcome us and give us all the necessary equipment to experience this adventure in safety.
We will reach the start of the route on foot, first following the Ponale Road, one of the most scenic stretches of the northern side of Lake Garda. This historic route, which connects Riva del Garda with Valle di Ledro, offers spectacular views of the lake , framed by a majestic rock face.
Once we take the Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri (Smugglers' Path) , a perfect mix of adrenaline, excitement and wonder awaits us. This is a mountaineering itinerary with short sections of ferrata, along which we will proceed roped up, securing ourselves to the pitons in the rock.
The path, carved into the live rock and developed horizontally, is almost all level and has a minimal difference in height. At some points, however, it will be necessary to tackle small climbs and short suspended traverses, which will make the experience even more exciting.
At a height of 100 metres, we will have an incredible panorama before our eyes: the calm waters of Lake Garda, ploughed by sailboats and boats, which seem to move slowly beneath us.
The excursion lasts about 4 hours in total and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 10.
Good health and minimal physical effort are required to participate in this activity; it is necessary not to suffer from vertigo, as the route is very exposed.
No previous experience is required.
Other information
Climbing takes place all year round.
It is very important to follow the guide's instructions throughout the activity.
The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
