Driving a convertible and waving to passers-by: who hasn't wanted to experience this moment as a star?
If you don't mind attracting all the stares (indeed, it makes you feel like a star), now is the time to make the dream come true. Rent a classic car and let yourself be captivated by the roads along Lake Como.
You can choose between a 4-hour rental or a full day to enjoy curves, views and impromptu stops. One thing is certain: you and your faithful four-wheeled companion will not go unnoticed!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Abbadia Lariana (LC) where the hirer will welcome you by handing over the keys to the classic car of your choice.
After a brief initial briefing, you will be ready to get into the car. From this moment on, you will have full control over everything: steering wheel, pedals, but above all the route!
Driving on the roads of Lake Como will give you views of unique landscapes, verdant mountains and deep-blue views. Along the way you can stop at some of the most iconic places in the area such as Bellagio, Varenna, Como, Menaggio and many others.
The shores of the lake are also dotted with ancient villas, some of which can be visited with an entrance fee: the perfect combination to make the most of a day of vintage tourism!
During the rental, you can travel up to and including 150 km; for any longer journeys, an extra charge per kilometre will be applied. You will then return to your starting point.
The rental will last a total of 4 hours (half day, only available from 15: 00 to 19: 00) or 8 hours (full day, from 10: 00 to 18: 00) depending on the option chosen when booking.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 25 years old and have held a B licence for at least five years. There is no age limit for passengers , but it should be noted that the cars are not equipped with child seats or seat belts.
Driver and passenger may swap driving during the rental as long as both meet the requirements.
Other information
Rental is available from March to November.
Attention! Half-day hire is only available in the afternoon shift from 15: 00 to 19: 00.

- Beetle convertible 1303 - 1978
- Fiat 124 Spider 200 - 1980
- Fiat 500 R - 1973
- Fiat 1500 cabriolet - 1966
- Alfa Romeo 1300 Junior Spider (truncated tail) - 1974
- Mercedes -Benz 280 SL - 1980
- MG TD - 1951 (recommended for those who already have driving experience with classic cars)
The price is per car; all cars are 2-seater except the 4-seater Beetle Cabrio 1303 .
The rental includes 150 km mileage, each extra km has a fixed charge of €1. 50. Any delay on drop-off after the scheduled time will incur a penalty of €20. 00 per 30 minutes. Fuel is included.
On site, it is possible to add kasko insurance at an extra cost of €50. 00 per day with a damage excess of €500. 00.
On request, an extra pick-up & drop-off service from hotel/residence with fuel included is available at the following prices
- €490. 00 for half-day hire
- €650. 00 for full-day hire

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
