There is a place in the Marche hills where beer is not brewed in a factory, but directly from the earth.
In Montemaggiore al Metauro, the Oltremondo Birrificio Contadino agricultural brewery opens its doors to you for an immersive visit amidst the brewing room and the scents of freshly picked hops.
Here you will experience a tasting of 4 craft beers: among Keller Pils, IPAs and seasonal creations, you will discover a world where over 80% of the raw materials are grown on the farm. A one-hour experience perfect for those who want to taste beer where it is really born!
What we will do
The appointment is in the green and hilly setting of the Marche hinterland. We will be welcomed by the brewery staff, who will accompany us to discover the entire production chain.
We will begin with a guided tour of production, where we will see the brewing room and discover the processing phases. We will continue to the fermentation area and the bottling area, following step by step the path that transforms cereals into craft beer.
During the visit we will also be shown the barley malt and hop drying process, with the possibility of smelling the aromas and characteristics directly in the laboratory. The guide will tell us about the agricultural philosophy of the brewery, which cultivates over 40 hectares of land and produces most of its raw materials in-house.
At the end of the tour, the tasting inside the production area will begin, where we will taste 4 beers to choose from the 17 available. The tasting will be accompanied by snacks such as taralli and chips. During the tasting we will be able to compare different styles, from lighter beers to more structured productions, discovering the unique character of unfiltered and unpasteurised farmhouse beers.
The experience will last about 1 hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. The beer tasting is reserved for adults only.
Minors may attend free of charge as accompanying persons and will not participate in the alcoholic tasting.
The facility is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with pushchairs.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: these can be indicated by contacting the brewery at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail. The brewery also has a gluten-free beer.
Dogs are only allowed in the outdoor areas and the warehouse area, but are not allowed inside the brewery.
There is free parking on site. The brewery can be reached by public transport, with a stop about 1 km away.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
