Full description

Embark on a horseback ride in the Cerite hinterland, a UNESCO World Heritage area characterised by forests and archaeological sites.

From Cerveteri, you will ride for two hours in the company of a certified equestrian guide to discover the Macchia della Signora, a splendid wooded hill, and the Necropolis of Monte Abatone, dating back to the Etruscan period.

This activity is your chance to get in tune with an extraordinary animal, the horse, and immerse yourself in the unspoilt nature of an evocative area not far from Rome. Book your place now!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Cerveteri, not far from Rome. Here we will be welcomed by a certified equestrian guide, who will give a briefing of about 15 minutes, in which he will explain how to ride a horse (American riding) , and basic techniques for handling the animal.

Afterwards, we will be ready to set off on our walk. During the circular route , we will have the opportunity to admire the area's vineyards and pass through the Macchia della Signora forest, characterised by dense vegetation.

We will then encounter the Tumulo Torlonia, a fascinating Etruscan tomb, and the Necropolis of Monte Abatone. This monument is external and we will be able to visit it while remaining on horseback. The guide will accompany us, telling us some curiosities about these suggestive places.

We will then take the way back, riding along a panoramic country road, from which we will also be able to observe the sea. The activity lasts a total of 2 hours.
