Barbera, Chardonnay or Moscato?
And no, this is not a wine tasting but our horseback ride in San Marzano Oliveto: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride in the natural setting of the Langhe, among the vineyards that have made this corner of Piedmont iconic.
And then toast during an agritourism lunch with (of course) a glass of house wine!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 11:00 a.m. at the meeting point in San Marzano Oliveto (AT). Awaiting us will be the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will proceed with the assignment of the horses. We will mount the horses and learn the basics of horse riding. The guide will provide us with all the information we need for a carefree experience. This first moment will last approximately 10 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture into the splendid natural setting of the Langhe, an area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will ride over hillsides dotted with vineyards, walking among rows of Barbera, Chardonnay, Moscato and Pinot. After about 1 hour, we will reach theagriturismo that will host us for lunch: the menu includes mixed starters, two first courses, main course and dessert based on traditional Piedmontese products and recipes. All accompanied by water and, of course, house red wine!
After about 2 hours, having finished lunch, we will be back in the saddle to return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 2 hours; the total experience will last 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women.
The experience is suitable for people with motor and/or non-motor disabilities: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate the presence of a disabled person and to check the feasibility of the experience.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.

Caution! In order to participate in this activity, it is mandatory to wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes; if this requirement is not met, the activity may not take place at the guide's discretion.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
