Would you like to experience a horse riding adventure surrounded by the wild beauty of the Simbruini Mountains?
Join us for a 1.5-hour horseback ride and get ready to ride on shady trails in the National Park on the border between Lazio and Abruzzo. An easy 6 km route, also suitable for beginners, that will take you through chestnut groves, woods and, above all, enchanting views.
All you have to do is mount your saddle, because the magic of the Simbruini Mountains is waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is at the stables in Rocca di Botte (AQ), in the heart of the Monti Simbruini Park. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will introduce us to the horses. Based on our experience and personality, we will be assigned the perfect companion for this riding adventure.
Before setting off, there will be a briefing to learn the correct posture and the basics of horse handling. If we wish, we can also help saddle and prepare the horse together with the guide, to get even more in tune with this beautiful animal.
We will then set off on the walk: an easy 6 km route suitable for everyone, winding through forests, gentle climbs and descents, always accompanied by the shade of trees. We will cross panoramic viewpoints offering spectacular views of the Simbruini Mountains and immerse ourselves in the peaceful atmosphere of the chestnut grove.
Wewill ride at a leisurely pace to make the most of the landscape around us. However, if the guide allows it, we can ride short stretches at a trot or gallop.
After about 1 hour of riding, we will return to the riding stables. Between preparation, briefing and ride, the experience will last approximately 1.5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, from 14 years of age and upwards, with a maximum weight of 110 kg. No horse riding experience is necessary.

The experience takes place all year round.
There is ample free parking on site. The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.
Horse riding is available in both English and American style.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
