Full description
Riding a horse is always an exciting experience: even more so if the Ferrara countryside and a famous abbey await you along the way!
In the saddle of your steed, you will be able to plunge into a flat country trail until you reach the park ofPomposa Abbey, a centre of spirituality of historical importance since the Middle Ages.
A oneand a half hour experience for a full immersion in nature and history. Shall we start saddling your horse?
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Codigoro (FE) 10 minutes before the time chosen at the time of booking.
Here we will find our guide and horses, already prepared for the walk, waiting for us. The first 10 minutes will be devoted toapproaching the horse from the ground: in the field we will learn all the main commands to carry out the activity safely.
We will then mount the saddle to begin the walk: along a flat path of 3-4 km, we will proceed at pace (with English or American riding technique) through cultivated fields in the Ferrara countryside. A walking guide will accompany us along the entire route.
We will then reach the park ofPomposa Abbey, dating back to the 9th century, and we will be able to admire the abbey from the outside while riding our horses.
We will then return to the stables after about 1 hour of riding. The activity will last 1 ½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone, with a minimum age of 14 years and a maximum weight of 90 kg. The experience is ideal for beginners.
Minors can do the activity independently, but must be accompanied to the riding school by an adult.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from May to October.
Any accompanying persons can stay on the ranch, where they will find a refreshment point with drinks and snacks. It is possible to stay at the ranch with dogs on a leash.
No rucksacks or bags may be carried on the walk; a maximum of one fanny pack is permitted .
The ranch cannot be reached by public transport.
