Full description
Whale and horse, what could they possibly have in common?
The beautiful natural setting of the Stirone Park, in the province of Parma. This nature reserve was once covered by waters inhabited by fin whales; today it is the setting for our horseback ride!
An experience of over 1 hour, enhanced by a riding lesson for carefree riding.
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Salsomaggiore Terme (PR). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide and riding instructor who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over the equipment, we will mount the saddle. The experience will begin with a riding lesson: the instructor will show us the basics of how to handle a horse so that we can ride without worrying. This first part will last about 20 minutes, depending on the needs of the individual participants.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will be riding in the Stirone Park, a nature reserve established following the discovery of fossils of minke whales that once inhabited the "ancient sea" that covered the area. Along the way, it will also be possible to spot Scipione Castle and Vigoleno Castle, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of one and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 14. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The excursion is of an easy level and suitable for a first horse ride.

Attention! The meeting point is approximately 5 km from the centre of Salsomaggiore Terme.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
The duration of the excursion may vary depending on the number and experience level of the participants.
Any accompanying persons may remain at the riding stables. Dogs are not allowed on the riding stables.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request a shuttle service from Salsomaggiore Terme station at a cost of €10.00 per group.
