How many times have you been told not to jump into puddles?
You can give satisfaction to your inner child (and not only) by taking part in our water trekking experience: in the company of an Environmental Hiking Guide, you will walk in the waters of the Mercure-Lao River to discover the flora and fauna of the Pollino National Park.
An experience of over 1 hour, for the enjoyment of young and old!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Viggianello (PZ). Awaiting us will be the Environmental Hiking Guide and Official Guide of the Pollino National Park, who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, the equipment will be handed over and we will get dressed. From the meeting point, there will then be a short transfer by our own means of transport to reach the location of the experience. Once at the destination, we will participate in a briefing in preparation for the activity, during which the guide will provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready to venture into the waters of the Mercure-Lao River, in the beautiful natural setting of the Pollino National Park! We will walk in a particularly peaceful area, where the river's water flow is minimal and makes for a walk suitable for the whole family. Along the way we will discover the flora and fauna of the park, from moss to frogs. There will also be some puddles to tackle, for the enjoyment of young and old alike!
The experience will also be enriched by a small aperitif with taralli and a glass of wine or soft drink, again in the scenic setting of the Mercure-Lao river.
The route measures 1.5 km and the walking time is 1 hour. We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last 1.5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 2 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
A shoe size of 24 and above is required to participate.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate.
The route is of an easy level and suitable for a first experience of water trekking.

The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Duration and itinerary may vary according to hydro-weather conditions and participants' abilities at the guide's discretion.
Dogs are not allowed.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
