Have you ever dreamed of scanning the horizon like a true explorer in search of a breath among the waves?
In Imperia, in the heart of the Cetacean Sanctuary, the legend becomes reality as you become an active crew member ready to discover the secrets of the Ligurian Sea.
In this 4-hour adventure, you will sail aboard a comfortable sailboat together with an experienced skipper. Between a sailing lesson and the thrill of spotting stenelles or minke whales, you will enjoy a typical snack with local focaccia, living an experience that combines fun and deep respect for nature!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Imperia (IM) . Awaiting us will be the skipper and his team, ready to welcome us on board the sailboat to begin our expedition to the Pelagos Sanctuary.
After an initial briefing, we will head out to sea, increasing our chances of meeting dolphins, whales and other friendly inhabitants of the Sanctuary. Our navigation will be exclusively under sail, a conscious choice to ensure the least possible acoustic disturbance to cetaceans and reduce environmental impact.
During the excursion we will not be mere spectators: we will be actively involved in manoeuvring the sails and may even take the helm. The skipper will also provide us with interesting insights into marine biology, explaining how to recognise the different species that inhabit these waters.
If the weather permits, we will make a refreshing swim stop offshore. In the course of the morning or afternoon, the crew will serve us an on-board snack of Ligurian focaccia and drinks, perfect for recharging our batteries between observations.
Finally, we will reverse course to return to the port of departure, enriched by a new awareness of the fragility and beauty of our sea.

Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from 4 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult on site. Family discount packages are available on request: contact us for more information.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible on its own, but by notifying the organiser, the participation of persons with reduced mobility can be managed.
Other information
The activity takes place from April until November and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary according to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion. Since the animals are free in their habitat,sightings of cetaceans are not guaranteed.
The organiser has been awarded the prestigious HQWW® Certificate and the High Quality Whale-Watching Flag, awards that recognise the organiser's ongoing commitment to protecting the marine ecosystem and raising awareness among guests.
The boat used is a Sun Fizz 40 DL sailboat, 12. 50 metres long and equipped with cabins, two toilets, shower, Wi-Fi and sea ladder.
In the event of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers in advance at the contact details given in your confirmation e-mail.
Dogs are not allowed on board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
