Have you ever dreamed of scanning the horizon like a true explorer, searching for a breath amidst the waves?
In the heart of the Cetacean Sanctuary, legend becomes reality as you become an active member of the crew, ready to discover the secrets of the Ligurian Sea.
On this 4-hour adventure, you’ll sail aboard a comfortable sailing boat with an experienced skipper. Between a sailing lesson and the thrill of spotting bottlenose dolphins or pilot whales, you’ll enjoy a traditional snack with local focaccia, experiencing an adventure that combines fun with a deep respect for nature!
What we will do
Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Sanremo (IM). The skipper and his team will be waiting for us, ready to welcome us aboard the sailing boat to begin our expedition into the Pelagos Sanctuary.
After an initial briefing, we’ll set sail towards the open sea, increasing our chances of encountering dolphins, whales and other friendly inhabitants of the Sanctuary. We’ll be sailing exclusively under sail, a conscious choice to ensure the least possible noise disturbance to the cetaceans and to reduce our environmental impact.
During the excursion, we won’t just be spectators: we’ll be actively involved in handling the sails and may even take the helm. The skipper will also share fascinating facts about marine biology, explaining how to recognise the different species that inhabit these waters.
Weather permitting, we’ll stop for a refreshing swim offshore. During the morning or afternoon, the crew will serve us a snack on board consisting of Ligurian focaccia and drinks, perfect for recharging between sightings.
Finally, we’ll turn back to return to the port of departure, enriched by a new appreciation of the fragility and beauty of our sea.

Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from 4 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult on site. Family discount packages are available on request: contact us for more information.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible on its own, but by notifying the organiser, the participation of people with reduced mobility can be managed.

The activity takes place from April until November and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants. On request, it is possible to organise the excursion on a private basis: contact us to submit your booking request.
The itinerary and stops may vary according to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion. As these animals are free in their habitat,sightings of cetaceans are not guaranteed.
The organiser has been awarded the prestigious HQWW® Certificate and the High Quality Whale-Watching Flag, awards that recognise the organiser's ongoing commitment to protecting the marine ecosystem and raising awareness among guests.
The boat used is a Sun Fizz 40 DL sailboat, 12. 50 metres long and equipped with cabins, two toilets, shower, Wi-Fi and sea ladder.

Dogs are not allowed on board.
Free and paid parking spaces are available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
