Full description
Did you know that even wild herbs can turn into a culinary adventure? A foraging and cooking workshop is waiting for you in Civitella di Romagna !
Stroll through the fields to discover the herbs, visit the henhouse to collect fresh eggs, and let yourself be guided in the preparation of fresh pasta and tortelli alla lastra, a typical recipe of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.
Spend 4 hours immersed in nature and end the experience with a lunch made with your own hands!
What we will do
The meeting point is Civitella di Romagna, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will give us a brief introduction lasting about 10 minutes, explaining how the workshop will take place and illustrating the main herbs we will encounter in the fields.
We will begin the morning with a walk through the surrounding fields, where we will observe and collect various wild herbs. Along the way, the guide will tell us about the curiosities, benefits and possible uses in the kitchen of the plants we will encounter, making the walk educational and fun.
On the way back, we will make a brief stop at the henhouse to collect fresh eggs, and then head to the kitchen for the practical workshop: we will knead fresh pasta rolled out with a rolling pin and prepare tortelli alla lastra, typical of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. Everyone will actively participate, using the herbs gathered in tasty and genuine dishes.
We will conclude the experience by sitting down to lunch (included) based on what we prepared during the workshop, accompanied by water, wine, coffee and a homemade doughnut. Before saying goodbye, we will receive a handout with recipes and information on the herbs used, so that we can replicate the preparations we have tried at home.
The activity will last a total of 4 hours.
