A full immersion in Chianti Classico in an exceptional setting!
Come and discover Castello di Bossi in Castelnuovo Berardenga, a historic winery and estate that has been part of the region since the Middle Ages, which will welcome you for a guided tasting of its flagship wines.
You can choose between a 3- or 5-glass tasting, depending on your ‘thirst’ for knowledge. In either case, the wines will be accompanied by a traditional platter, so you can raise a glass with even more flavour!
What we will do
The tour takes place at the selected time at Castello di Bossi in Castelnuovo Berardenga (SI), set in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. You will be met by your guide, who will welcome you before leading you on a tour of the estate.
You’ll begin with a tour of the historic cellar, during which you’ll be given an insight into the 15th- and 16th-century heritage of the property, which is directly linked to the wines produced there. You’ll also admire the majestic medieval tower dating from 1099 and the historic courtyard decorated with the family crests. During the walk, you’ll see the barrels where the Chianti Riserva is aged up close and stroll through the rear of the castle, between the lemon house and the splendid vineyards of the Gran Selezione.
Once the tour is over, you’ll take your seats to begin your private guided tasting. When booking, you can choose between a tasting of 3 or 5 glasses, all strictly from Castello di Bossi. You’ll always taste:
- Chianti Classico DOCG
- Berardo Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
- Gran Selezione Chianti Classico DOCG
The 5-wine tasting also includes:
- Girolamo – Merlot
- Corbaia – Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc
The commentary will be tailored to your level of interest, ranging from a simple introduction to a more technical focus. To complement the tasting, you’ll be served the estate’s own extra virgin olive oil and a platter of local specialities comprising bruschetta, cured meats and selected cheeses.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over. The wine tasting is for adults only.
Any accompanying minors and non-drinkers who do not wish to take part in the tasting may join the experience free of charge or purchase a non-alcoholic drink.
The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users; however, there is one step at the entrance to the historic wine cellar.
Other information
The experience runs all year round and is guaranteed to go ahead with a minimum of 2 participants, up to a maximum of 10 people for private tables. Larger groups of up to 40 people are permitted upon request, provided this is made at least 2 weeks in advance: please contact us to submit your booking request.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: please contact the venue using the details provided in your booking confirmation email well in advance to let them know your requirements.
Dogs are allowed during the activity, provided they are well-behaved and kept on a lead.
Free on-site parking is available. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
