The story of Cantine Ornella Molon is that of two young people who grew up in the vineyards and who, starting out from the family’s old barns, have managed to create an extraordinary wine-making enterprise, which has expanded as far as the prestigious Colli Orientali del Friuli and found a home within the walls of a magnificent 17th-century Venetian villa.
Come and discover the beating heart of this estate in Salgareda, in the province of Treviso: a guided walk through the grounds of the splendid Villa Veneta Giustinian-Molon Traverso awaits you, along with an authentic wine tasting enhanced by a delicious sampling of local produce!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the selected time at Cantine Ornella Molon in Salgareda (TV), in the stunning setting of the Terra del Piave. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will take us on a walk through the grounds of the historic Venetian villa, Villa Giustinian-Molon Traverso.
During the tour, we’ll be told the family’s history, before moving on to explore the barchessa, the historic wine cellar and the small vineyard adjacent to the garden, where we’ll be able to admire the traditional Bellussera training system. The guided tour will last approximately 30 minutes.
Afterwards, we’ll settle down inside the wine shop or in the estate’s grounds (depending on the weather) for the guided tasting. When booking, you’ll be able to choose between:
- ‘First Tastes’ tasting: a programme designed for those wishing to take their first steps into the world of wine by tasting wines from Veneto and Friuli such as Salgheri, Ribolla Gialla, Eros and Moscato Rosa (4 glasses)
- ‘Dal Friuli Al Piave’tasting : a tasting that compares the wines from the Friulian hills of Vigna Traverso with those from the Piave region of Ornella Molon, to discover the differences and similarities between the two territories, featuring Ribolla Gialla Spumante, Traminer Aromatico, Cabernet Franc and Merlot DOC Piave (4 glasses)
- “Local Specialities” tasting: designed for those wishing to explore native grape varieties such as Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Schioppettino di Prepotto, Raboso DOC Piave and the prized Raboso DOCG Piave Malanotte (5 glasses)
Each tasting will be accompanied by a small selection of local salami and cheese to round off the experience in a spirit of genuine conviviality.
The experience will last approximately one and a half hours in total .

The wine tasting is for adults only. Any accompanying minors may take part in the experience for €5. 00 (excluding snacks) .

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
