Full description
At the La Combarbia family winery, traditions are a serious matter.
Indeed, it is here that Gabriele, the founder, still produces his natural wines according to a method that has been handed down for three generations and where everything, from the harvest to the labelling of each individual bottle, is done by hand.
And it is also only here that the unique Nobile di Montepulciano wine is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes, which you will taste during this tasting with a visit to the cellar with the producer!
What we will do
The appointment is at the time selected during the booking process at the La Combarbia winery in Cervognano (SI), a hamlet of Montepulciano known for being the production area of the best Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Your guide will accompany you inside the winery, where the wine is still produced 'as it once was', by spontaneous fermentation in ancient cement tanks. You will discover the differences between industrial and artisanal methods, through the story of a family-run business that produces only natural wines of superior quality.
Afterwards, the tour will continue in the barrel room, which in addition to being the place where the wine rests and matures, will host a guided tasting in the company of the producer. You will taste five glasses: two IGT wines (red and/or white), a fine Super Tuscan, a Rosso di Montepulciano D.O.C and finally the Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G exceptionally produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes only by the La Combarbia winery.
At the end of the tasting, it will be possible to visit the vineyard about 400 metres away, where you can take some souvenir photos with Montepulciano in the background.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.

The experience is recommended for 18 years and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Minors may participate in the experience free of charge by selecting the "Minors" option in the booking box.

Attention! In the event of bad weather or excessive heat, the experience will take place entirely indoors, excluding the vineyard walk.

There is free parking for guests on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
