They say that in Tuscany you eat well and drink better. We can only confirm this.
In San Gimignano, at the Palagetto winery, four wines to taste, a barrel cellar full of stories, and a menu that smells of Tuscany await you: typical tagliere, a warm first course, and dessert with cantucci and Vin Santo.
At the end you won't know whether to come back for the wine, the food... or both.
What we will do
The appointment is at thePalagetto winery , in the hills of San Gimignano. You will be welcomed by one of the staff, who will accompany you throughout the experience. After a brief introduction on the history of the Palagetto family and the philosophy behind wine production, he will take you to the barrique cellar: the place where the wine rests, matures and takes on its personality.
Here the guided tasting will begin. Goblet in hand, you will taste 4 wines from the estate - 2 whites and 2 reds - each narrated with passion and expertise by the guide, who will illustrate their characteristics, aromas, ideal pairings and winemaking secrets.
Among the wines to be tasted, you may find the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, a white wine that is the symbol of the territory, and Sottobosco, an intense red born from the union of Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The proposed labels may vary according to availability and season.
The wines are accompanied by an all-Tuscan menu: a rich platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, a hot first course prepared by the kitchen and, to end on a sweet note, cantucci and Vin Santo. Between a glass and a forkful, you will discover the truest soul of Tuscany.
An authentic and convivial experience, lasting about 1 hour, that will make you feel part of the history of this land.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 years and over only. Any accompanying minors or non-tasting adults are welcome; for children between 5 and 10 years of age there is a menu with a pasta dish and water at a cost of €10.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

The experience takes place all year round.
For those with food intolerances or dietary requirements, alternatives are available on request (contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate these).
Dogs are allowed, even inside the barrique cellar.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; there is ample free parking on site.
