More than a tasting, a volcano of flavours! Come and discover Casa Setaro, one of the rare wineries located in the heart of the Vesuvius National Park.
In the shadow of the most famous cartere in the world, you will stroll among the vines and taste 4 organic wines with gourmet pairings: an experience that will (literally) make your senses explode!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Casa Setaro in Trecase (NA), in the splendid setting of the Vesuvius National Park. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will introduce us to the sustainable philosophy of this winery.
We will begin with a walk through the vineyard, where we will walk on volcanic soils rich in minerals. Here we will discover the secret of the free-range viney ard: ancient plants that survive without grafting onto American vines, preserving the pure identity of the land. The guide will explain how biodiversity, with over 600 plant species, influences the unique character of each bunch.
We will then continue with a visit to the wine cellar, built right under the family home. We will explore the rooms carved out of the volcanic rock from the last great eruption, which guarantees ideal temperature and humidity. We will admire the steel vats and French oak barrels, following the painstaking process that transforms the grape into a wine ready for the bottle.
Finally, we will sit down for tasting time. We can choose to sit in the garden, on the terrace or in the interior room, depending on our preferences and the season. We will taste 4 glasses of wine (including excellences such as Caprettone, Falanghina, Piedirosso or Aglianico) accompanied by a curated gastronomic itinerary: we will receive 6 finger food samples and a final hot dish to match.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total.

The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Minors can take part in the activity with a price on request: contact the organiser at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
