Come and discover the Cantina dell'Angelo, where Angelo (third generation of true winemakers) will take you on a walk through the rows above the sulphur mines of the Campanaro area.
After the walk through the vineyard, a visit to the cellar and a tasting of Greco di Tufo with typical products awaits you, to savour the 'sulphurous' soul of a single-vineyard company that defends its DOCG with family pride!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Cantina dell'Angelo in Tufo (AV), in the setting of the Campanaro area, famous for its historic sulphur mines. We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us on a journey through time and taste.
We will begin with a walk through the vineyard located right above the ancient mines. Here we will take a close look at the mineral soil and discover the philosophy of the V . i. T. I. network (Vignaioli in Terre d'Irpinia) : no chemicals, only respect for the land and manual work.
We will then continue with a visit to the cellar premises. We will explore the vinification area, the barrel-ageing areas and the warehouse where bottling takes place. If we are lucky, we will even be able to interact with the workers during the production cycle.
The highlight will be the tasting in the tasting room or outdoors. We will taste three glasses: a technical tasting straight from the barrel and two bottled wines. The absolute protagonist will be the Greco di Tufo, a white wine with a strong flavour and unmistakable sulphurous notes.
So as not to be left with an empty stomach, the wines will be accompanied by a rich platter of local products, with cured meats and local cheeses. It will be the perfect opportunity to appreciate the solid structure and freshness of this excellent grape variety.
The experience will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above. Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience as 'chaperones' on request.
The activity is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the layout of the vineyards.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 persons.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
