Get to know the prince of Tuscan wines! We are talking about Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, one of the most famous Italian wines in the world.
Discover the secrets of its production with a visit to the Casanuova delle Cerbaie winery, established in the 1980s in Montalcino. Admire the panorama over the Val d'Orcia from the historic vineyard adjacent to the estate and continue your visit in the winemaking cellar and the scenic barrel cellar.
Anexclusive experience of about 1 hour and 15 minutes, ending with a tasting of 3 or 4 wines (to be chosen at the time of booking), the highest expression of Sangiovese and this territory.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Casanuova delle Cerbaie in Montalcino (SI).
On your arrival, you will be welcomed by the winery staff in front of the estate and the historic vineyard, from which you will be able to admire an enchanting view of Montalcino and the surrounding valley. In addition to taking some postcard photos, you will discover the characteristics of the land and soil that make the estate's wines unique.
The visit will then continue in the wine-making cellar, to better illustrate the production philosophy and the main processing operations of the Sangiovese grapes. Lastly, you will arrive in the barrel cellar, the place of ageing with the traditional large Slavonian oak casks, and a collection of historic vintages. This first part of the activity will last about 30 minutes.
At the end of the visit, you will move to the tasting room with a fireplace and a view of the vineyards. Here you will taste 3 or 4 glasses (to be chosen when booking) of the wines produced by Casanuova delle Cerbaie:
- Rosato Toscana IGT
- Rosso di Montalcino DOC
- Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
- Rosso Toscana IG T (only in the tasting of 4 glasses)
The tasting will be accompanied by breadsticks, taralli and home-produced EVO oil . If you have never tasted Brunello di Montalcino before, get ready to discover a fine and elegant wine: an artisanal product of the highest quality that testifies to the passion and dedication of the winery.
The experience will last a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The wine tasting is for adults only. Minors may participate in the experience free of charge; water and fruit juice are available for them.
In the case of participants in wheelchairs, the tasting can be set up in an accessible area of the winery: please contact the organisers after confirmation of your booking to inform them of your needs.

The experience takes place all year round, every day, and is reserved for private groups of up to 8 participants.
When booking, you can choose between 2 formulas: "tasting of 3 wines", which includes Rosato Toscana IGT, Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, and "tasting of 4 wines", which also includes Rosso Toscana IGT in addition to the previous ones.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but it is possible to get there from the centre of Montalcino by a 2.5 km walk or bicycle ride. On-site parking is available.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
