You haven't had too much wine. What you see is indeed an alpaca!
Take part in our experience at Cantina Santo Iolo: not only will you visit the cellar and taste the best labels of the house, but you will also meet the friendly animals that inhabit the property. The donkey Frida, the hens Paola & Chiara and the alpaca Cumbia are just some of your next companions on the adventure.
A 3-hour experience that will fill the hearts (and bellies) of young and old alike!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at Cantina Santo Iolo in Narni (TR) . We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us on a discovery of this winemaking reality (and not only) !
Having gathered all the participants, we will take a 10-minute walk through the vineyard to reach the animals. We will meet alpacas, donkeys and chickens: depending on their wishes, we will be able to interact directly with the animals by stroking them, feeding them and taking nice souvenir photos. The animal tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Afterwards, we will return to the meeting point for the winery tour: we will explore the production room, delving into the winemaking process, and the barrique cellar, delving into the ageing process. From the cultivation of the vineyard to the bottling, all stages of the production process are 'homemade with love'!
Finally, we will sit down for a wine tasting: we will toast with 4 glasses of the best house labels (white, red and rosé wine) accompanied by a platter of cold meats, cheeses and other local delicacies. The cellar tour and wine tasting will last approximately 1½ hours.
The experience will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children from 0 to 4 years old participate free of charge: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate attendance.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Underage participants, pregnant women and abstemious persons are served a fruit juice to accompany the wine tasting.
The experience is not wheelchair and pushchair accessible. It is recommended that any infants be carried in baby carriers.

Attention! Cantina Santo Iolo is about 13 km from the centre of Narni.
The experience takes place from October to May and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
The walk through the vineyard requires appropriate footwear because it takes place on a dirt road and slightly uphill.

Dogs are not allowed when meeting animals: contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to report the presence of your four-legged friend.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
