Full description
Cinta Senese salami, sheep's cheese, homemade jam. We know you're there.
And so do we. Join our tour of the Azienda Agraria Carlo Marco Carini: in the company of a guide, you will learn more about the production of wine, oil (and some cured meats) of this historic Umbrian food and wine producer.
This will be followed by a tasting of wines and home-made products, to get to know the true taste of Umbria!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at Azienda Agraria Carlo Marco Carini in Canneto, a hamlet of Perugia. We will find our guide waiting for us, who will accompany us on a discovery of this historic (and innovative) Umbrian wine and food reality!
Having gathered all the participants and after an initial welcome, we will each board our own means of transport to reach the production area, which is about 2 minutes away from the meeting point.
Once there, the guided tour of the farm will begin: we will walk through the vineyard and olive grove, discovering the land, the organic philosophy and each raw material. We will then enter the cellar to learn more about wine production, and walk among the characteristic wooden barrels where the classic method sparkling wine is aged. If present, we will not fail to greet the Cinta Senese puppies, an ancient breed bred by the family. This first part will last about 30 minutes.
We will then return to the meeting point and take a seat in the area set up for our tasting of wines and local products: this will include two glasses of wine such as Poggio Canneto and Oscano accompanied by a platter of Cinta Senese cured meats, Suffolk sheep salami, sheep's milk cheeses, mixed crostini with spreads, honey and homemade jams; there will also be typical Umbrian bread topped with organic extra virgin olive oil. And for a sweet conclusion, we will toast with a taste of passito Lumia V. T. accompanied by wine biscuits!
The experience will last about two and a half hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult; minors will be served grape juice in place of the alcoholic tasting.
The 'Children's' rate includes: 1 reduced platter with a selection of Cinta Senese cured meats, fresh cheese, bread and oil; accompanied by water and two grape juices (chardonnay and gamay) . There are also nature-themed drawings and animals to colour in!
The experience is wheelchair and pram accessible.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants. The outdoor visit to the vineyard and olive grove only takes place in good weather; in the event of bad weather, the experience takes place indoors only.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
