Have you ever felt the thrill of creating something with your own hands?
With this carving course in the province of Rieti you can learn how to work with wood and bring your favourite object to life! An expert craftsman will teach you the basics of the trade and give you a fun day away from the usual routine.
In addition, you can enjoy a delicious lunch based on typical products!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Mompeo (RI) . A guide will be waiting for us, who will take us on a tour of the farm, introducing us with a briefing on rural life and the day's activities.
We will begin with an evocative walk through the centuries-old olive grove, where we will discover how extra virgin olive oil is made and what craft processes make this product so precious. We will then continue to the animal pens to meet the estate's horses and goats: we will be able to pet them, feed them and take advantage of this moment to take some souvenir photos.
After visiting the farm, we will meet the wood craftsman who will guide us through this carving course. First of all, we will choose together the wood to be worked, from those available in the olive grove. Then we will follow his explanations and the necessary steps to create the object we want!
The workshop will run from morning to afternoon, with about 2 hours for lunch (included) . The menu will include an appetiser, a first course, a dessert, water and wine, and will be made entirely from local products.
We will conclude the activity by finishing our wooden object, which we can take home!
The activity will last a total of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 10. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not accessible to people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
