Did you know that Bambi could be hiding in the Tuscan hills?
It's not us who say so, but the equestrian guide who will accompany you on this horseback ride in the Garfagnana: a verdant oasis populated by friendly woodland dwellers, including adorable fawns that you might spot in the saddle.
Anexperience of over 1 hour in which you will learn a new discipline in contact with nature!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point at Murella di Sotto in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (LU). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this horseback ride!
Once all participants have gathered, we will meet the horses ready and saddled; if we have the pleasure of witnessing their preparation, we can arrive a few minutes early at the stables. At this point, our guide will give us a brief explanation of about 15 minutes on the basics of riding, followed by the dressing phase.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: once outside the riding school, we will venture on a loop trail through the countryside. Together we will explore the natural landscape around Pieve Fosciana and Castiglione Garfagnana, riding over gentle hills and crossing a few streams depending on the route taken. Moreover, if we are lucky, we may even catch a glimpse of some fawns!
After riding about 10 km over mixed terrain, we will return to the stables. The horseback ride will last 1 hour; the experience will last a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding school by an adult.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate in this activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first horse ride.

The experience takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
It is recommended to bring a baby carrier, as no bags or backpacks are allowed on the excursion.
Accompanying persons may stay in the clubhouse of the riding stables; refreshments are available in the vicinity. Leashed dogs are permitted at the riding stables.
