Ionian and Adriatic seas meet on this boat tour in Salento: get ready to get to know them both!
Set sail on a3-hour excursion from Santa Maria di Leuca, where east and west, divided by the Leucasia mermaid, embrace. You can admire the myriad of caves that dot the landscape on the west and east sides, steeped in stories and legends. Then enjoy a snack on board between dives: we are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet in Santa Maria di Leuca (LE), 30 minutes before the time chosen at the time of booking.
After having completed the embarkation, we will set sail from the port in the company of our skipper and set out to discover the many caves and inlets that characterise the two coasts of Salento: the Ionian and the Adriatic.
To the east, on the eastern side, we will be able to admire the fantastic views of Punta Meliso and the lighthouse of Santa Maria di Leuca. Along the way we will be able to admire many beautiful caves from the outside, such as Grotta Terradico, Grotta Gabbiani, Grotta Verdusella, Grotta del Soffio, Grotta della Vora and Grotta delle Mannute.
We will then move on to explore the western side, to the west, which will allow us to admire Punta Ristola - the other promontory surrounding Santa Maria di Leuca - the famous Grotta del Diavolo, Grotta Mesciu Gianni, Grotta del Fiume, Grotta delle Tre Porte, Grotta del Presepe and, finally, the Grotta degli innamorati.
During the excursion, we will make two swimming stops of about 25 minutes, in places that will be chosen depending on the weather and sea conditions. Between dips in the crystal-clear waters of Salento, a snack (usually taralli) accompanied by drinks of your choice (non-alcoholic, beer or prosecco) will be offered on board.
We will then return to the port after a 3-hour tour.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 0 to 1 year participate free of charge: inform the organisers of their presence at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but the staff can assist people with reduced mobility in boarding, with prior notice after booking confirmation.

The tour runs daily from April to October, with a minimum of 2 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
You will travel on a 7 to 10-metre motorboat or gozzo with safety equipment, ladder, cushions, awning covering half the boat and freshwater shower.
Small or medium-sized dogs may be allowed on board on request. Please contact the organiser after booking confirmation to check whether it is possible to take your four-legged friend with you on the chosen date.
No alternatives for snacks on board are available for participants with food allergies or intolerances.
The meeting point can be reached by car (free or paid parking on site) or by bus (bus stop 700-800 m away).

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
