Weekend coming up? How about a change of scenery and sleeping in a B& B overlooking the Valdelsa hills. .. and then exploring them on horseback?
Modern rooms, country air and a restaurant with a typical Tuscan menu. Then an exclusive 1-hour ride through vineyards, olive groves and white roads with an equestrian guide.
In short: a night of relaxation, good food and a horse taking you around the Tuscan countryside. Hard to imagine a better programme.
What we will do
Check-in is available from 12 noon at the B& B in Montaione (FI). You will stay in a modern double room with: private bathroom with shower, bidet, complimentary toiletries and hairdryer, air conditioning and heating, TV, free Wi-Fi, wardrobe, bed linen and towels provided, access to a common kitchen for the three rooms, large terrace available for guests.
In agreement with the hotel, you can schedule a private horseback ride on the day of arrival or the following morning. At the arena, your equestrian guide will be waiting for you, who will conduct a short 10-minute briefing: you will learn basic commands, how to interact with the horse and how to sit properly in the saddle.
When you are ready, you will leave the riding arena for an approximately 5 km route, tailored to your level of experience. You will ride for about 1 hour on hilly paths and beautiful viewpoints, passing olive groves, vineyards and Chianti farms. With a bit of luck you may even encounter roe deer, fawns, pheasants and other animals in the area.
In the evening, the staff will ask you what you would like for breakfast the next morning: sweet, savoury and alternatives for intolerances, with a coffee machine always available in the breakfast room.
Check-out is by 10: 00 am.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is intended for 2 persons over 18 years of age.
No previous experience is required to take part in the horseback ride. The maximum weight for participants is 95 kg.
The facility is not wheelchair-accessible.

The experience is available all year round, except Mondays. Check-in is from 12 noon, and check-out by 10 a. m.

The restaurant (closed on Mondays and, in winter, also on Tuesdays for lunch) offers an à la carte menu with Tuscan specialities, including Florentine steak and truffle dishes. If you have food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Horse riding is exclusive to the couple. Riding is American, with quarter horses.
Small animals are allowed at no extra charge; they can be accommodated in a box at the riding stables during the ride.
The facility is not accessible by public transport; there is free parking on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The experiences included in the stay plus experience packages are subject to weather conditions. If the experience cannot take place due to bad weather or other causes of force majeure, you can choose between a refund for the experience that did not take place or rescheduling the activity for another date (if available). However, the stay cannot be refunded or rescheduled if the terms of the package cancellation policy have already expired.
Can I change the date selected for my stay?
