If you are looking for a new summer adventure to brag about with friends, hire a 6 m boat in Santa Maria di Leuca! A boat licence is not necessary and you decide on theitinerary!
Book for half a day or afull day, depending on your preference, and sail along the Adriatic or Ionian coastline to visit the magnificent caves there. You can stop near your favourite ones to snorkel!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Santa Maria di Leuca (LE), where the activity organisers will be waiting for us. After an initial briefing of about 10 minutes during which we will learn how to drive the boat, a 6 m Cayman boat with a maximum capacity of 7 people, we will be ready to set off!
We will be able to choose theitinerary we want, exploring the Adriatic side or the Ionian side. If we choose the Adriatic side, we will be able to reach the Terradico Cave, also known as the Grotta degli Indiani and famous for its triangular shape.
Continuing along this route, we will encounter the Grotta dei Gabbiani, where water infiltration has eroded the rock and formed stalactites, and the Grotta Verdusella. Finally, we can go as far as the Grotta del Soffio (Breath Cave) and the famous Grotta della Vora (Vora Cave), inside which various plays of light are created.
Sailing along the Ionian side, on the other hand, we will be able to reach well-known destinations such as the Grotta del Diavolo, the Grotta delle Tre Porte and the Grotta dei Giganti. The first, for example, has become famous because of the sinister noises of the sea coming from inside it, which inspired its name. If we wish, we can go as far as the Cave of the Dragon and admire the rock formations that recall this mythological animal.
We will decide the plan for the day, taking advantage of the clear waters to do some snorkelling and having fun diving from the boat. No boat licence is needed - just a bit of creativity!
Depending on the option selected at the time of booking, the activity will last half a day (4 h ) or afull day (8 h).
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. A minimum of 18 years of age is required to drive the boat, and a boat licence is not required.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

The activity is available from the beginning of April to the end of October.
The meeting point is not accessible by public transport, and there is paid parking available nearby.
The boat is a 6 m long Cayman boat with a 40 HP engine and a maximum capacity of 7 persons. It is equipped with cushions, awning, sundeck, climbing ladder, freshwater shower, wifi and map of the area. It is necessary to remain barefoot on board and food and drinks are allowed. By contacting the organisers in advance using the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail, you can request a snorkelling kit and a cooler.
Pleasenote: the cost of fuel is excluded from the fee. It will be paid at the end of the experience in cash or by electronic payment and will vary according to consumption.
When booking, you can select the half-day (4 h ) or full-day (8 h) option to tailor the experience to your needs.
By contacting the activity organisers in advance at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail and paying an additional fee, you can request a skipper (excluded and optional).
