Hire a boat without needing a sailing licence in Marina di Andrano and chart your own course between Castro, Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca. The Lazzari, a 5. 60-metre boat with a 40 CV engine, can accommodate up to 6 people.
Choose your hire duration from 4 hours (morning) , 5 hours (afternoon) or 10 hours (full day) and take the helm!
What we will do
Please arrive 15 minutes before the time stated at the meeting point in Marina di Andrano (LE). You will be welcomed by the staff, who will take care of the contractual formalities.
The skipper will hand over the boat to you, explaining everything you need to know about operating it and the rules for safe sailing, as well as recommending the best routes.
The Lazzari is an open-deck model with a fibreglass hull, 5. 60 metres long and fitted with a 40 CV Yamaha engine. The boat can be operated without a boat licence and is suitable for a group of up to 6 people. On board you’ll find a full set of cushions, a sun awning, a boarding ladder and all the necessary safety equipment for sailing within one mile of the coast.
Once you’re at the helm, you’re free to choose your own route. Sailing north, you can head as far as Otranto, admiring the coastline of Castro and its stunning coves. If you choose to head south, you’ll sail towards the cliffs of Santa Maria di Leuca and its beautiful sea caves. Whilst out at sea, you can stop for a swim, relax in the sun and enjoy lunch on board, bringing your own food and drink.
When booking, you can choose between a 4-hour (morning) , 5-hour (afternoon) or 10-hour (full-day) charter .
Who it is aimed at
You must be over 18 to drive the boat. A boat licence is not required.
Passengers of all ages are welcome on board.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.
Other information
The hire service is available from June to September and is aimed at private groups of up to 6 people.
You can choose between the 4-hour (morning) , 5-hour (afternoon) or 10-hour (full day) options. Please select your preference in the booking box.
Important: fuel is not included in the price and must be paid for on return, based on consumption. A deposit of €50, preferably in cash, is required upon collection to cover the cost of fuel.
Dogs are not permitted on board.
You are permitted to bring your own food and drink on board.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there are pay-and-display car parks on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
