How many caves does the Salento have? Finally, you can find out with our 3-hour boat tour.
Prepare to set sail from Santa Maria di Leuca on a boat or dinghy (depending on availability), with a skipper ready to take you to the most fascinating places in the area. You can listen to legends of mermaids, admire the place where theAdriatic and Ionian seas meet, and swim in the Grotta del Soffio.

What we will do
The meeting point is 20 minutes before the time indicated in the booking at Santa Maria di Leuca (LE). Here our skipper will be waiting for us, ready to welcome us on board the boat(boat or dinghy depending on availability).
Having set sail from Santa Maria di Leuca, we will pass Punta Meliso, the point where the two seas, Adriatic and Ionian, meet.
On the way we will visit several caves on the Adriatic side, listening to the skipper tell us interesting facts about the history and territory of Leuca. These include: Grotta degli indiani, Grotta dei gabbiani, Grotta delle Verduselle, Cattedrale , and Grotta del soffio, where we will stop for a 20-30 minute swim. Those who wish can venture inside the cave by swimming, together with the guide.
Leaving the Grotta del Soffio we will turn back towards Leuca, heading for the Tacco d'Italia, where we will officially enter the Ionian Sea. This side also awaits us with numerous attractions such as: Grotta del diavolo, Punta Ristola, Baia delle Sirene, Grotta del maestro Gianni, Grotta del fiume, Grotta delle tre porte and Grotta dei Giganti.
The last stop will be at the Grotta degli Innamorati, where we will have a 20-30 minute swim break followed by an aperitif on board with prosecco or fruit juice, friselle, taralli, olives and chips.
We will then return to port after a 3-hour excursion.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Children from 0 to 2 years old do not pay: please inform the organisers at the contact details indicated in your booking confirmation email.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but it is possible to request assistance for boarding persons with reduced mobility.

The tour takes place daily from March to November with a minimum of 2 participants.
The boat is a 7- or 8-metre dinghy or motor boat (depending on availability) with awning and cushions; fresh water shower is also available on some boats.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions. The sunset tour may last between 2.5 and 3 hours depending on the period.
People with food allergies or intolerances (e.g. celiacs) may contact the skipper for alternatives.
Small dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and by car. Free or paid parking spaces are available on site.
