These are just three of the reasons to choose this romantic 1½-hour boat tour in Salento at sunset. Get ready to sail to discover the many attractions in the area, among fascinating caves and inlets rich in myths and legends.
A dip from the boat and a snack on board will be the final icing on the cake!
What we will do
We will meet in Santa Maria di Leuca (LE), 30 minutes before the time chosen at the time of booking.
After checking in to welcome all participants, we will board our speedboat or gozzo. Our skipper will then take us on a tour of discovery of the many caves and inlets that characterise the western/Ionian side of the Salento, with its fantastic views and wonderful caves.
During the navigation we will be able to admire the area's most interesting spots from the water: such as Punta Ristola, the end between the two seas, where it is possible to follow the course of the sun from sunrise to sunset. From here we will head towards the Grotta del Diavolo (Devil's Cave), so called because of the peculiar sounds and rumbles once attributed to demonic presences.
From the water we will then admire numerous other coves, such as the Mesciu Gianni Cave, the Cave of the River, the Cave of the Three Doors, the Cave of the Crib and, finally, the Cave of the Lovers.
A 25-minute bathing stop to dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Salento will make this an unforgettable moment, even more so because it is illuminated by the lights of sunset. The point of the stop will be decided according to weather and sea conditions.
A snack (usually taralli) will also be offered on board, accompanied by drinks of your choice (non-alcoholic, beer or prosecco).
We will then return to the harbour after a 1.5-hour tour.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 0 to 1 year participate free of charge: inform the organisers of their presence at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but the staff can assist people with reduced mobility in boarding, with prior notice after booking confirmation.

The tour runs daily from April to October, with a minimum of 2 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
You will travel on a 7 to 10-metre motorboat or gozzo with safety equipment, ladder, cushions, awning covering half the boat and freshwater shower.
Small or medium-sized dogs may be allowed on board on request. Please contact the organiser after booking confirmation to check whether it is possible to take your four-legged friend with you on the chosen date.
No alternatives for snacks on board are available for participants with food allergies or intolerances.
The meeting point can be reached by car (free or paid parking on site) or by bus (bus stop 700-800 m away).
