What if we told you that you could explore a wild canyon using only your body?

Take part in this body rafting experience on the Lima torrent in Chifenti, in the province of Lucca! Together with experienced instructors, you will follow the watercourse, letting the current carry you through rocky gorges, without the need for a raft.

A 3½-hour adventure full of dives and natural slides, designed to have fun in total safety and rediscover Tuscan nature from a unique perspective!

What we will do

The meeting point is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Chifenti (LU) . Here we will meet our guide, who will provide us with all the necessary technical equipment: full wetsuit, footwear, helmet and life jacket. After donning the equipment, we will board the centre's shuttle bus for a short transfer of about 10 minutes (included) that will take us to the start of the route.

Once there, we will go through a safety briefing and water progression techniques. We will then begin our adventure along an approximately 1. 2 km stretch of stream. We will dive into clear pools and let ourselves be carried along by the current, passing small dynamic passages alternating with calmer and more relaxing stretches.

Along the descent we will encounter fun dives and natural slides carved into the rock by the millennial action of the torrent. No fear: the more adrenalin-pumping passages are totally optional and anyone can freely choose whether to try them or walk around them along the bank.

At the end of the route, the shuttle will take us back to the rafting centre in about 10 minutes. Here we can change, use the showers and receive the photos taken during the day.

The experience lasts a total of three and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is of an easy level and is suitable for everyone from the age of 5 (with a minimum height of 110 cm) . Minors must necessarily be accompanied by an adult.

To participate, it is not necessary to know how to swim , but it is essential to be comfortable in the water. The maximum permitted weight is 130 kg.

The experience is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties, and is not recommended for pregnant women, people with cardiorespiratory problems or those who have undergone recent surgery.

Other information

The experience is available from June to October.

The fee includes a membership card for the rafting centre, valid for one calendar year, which entitles you to discounted rates on other activities at the facility.

At the rafting centre, there are changing rooms, toilets, showers and a safe-keeping service for valuables.

Any accompanying persons may wait at the centre or walk to Bagni di Lucca. Leashed dogs are allowed at the centre.

There is free parking near the meeting point and it is possible to reach the area by public transport.
